About Byron
Byron builds AI agents for tax preparation. CPA firms use Byron to process source documents, build workpapers, and move finished work into the tax software they already run, with the accountant in the loop at every step. We're a seed-stage, venture-backed team building for every serious tax practice in the country, from 50-person firms to the Top 100.
About the role
This is a build role reporting to the CEO and working daily with the COO, CTO, and the go-to-market team. Today, the decks, proposals, pilot plans, and business cases our prospects see are made by founders between meetings. Your first job is to take that over and raise the bar: the materials a firm receives from Byron should be the sharpest thing in their inbox. Around that core, the seat expands to whatever the company needs next, from board materials to event support to internal operations. The mandate grows with you.
What you'll do
• Own sales enablement: the deck library, proposals, pilot plans, ROI and business cases, one-pagers, and competitive materials. Keep them current, consistent, and sharp.
• Build presentations that carry weight: prospect-specific decks, partner materials, board and investor updates, conference talks.
• Make the sales team faster: research on target firms, meeting prep, follow-up materials, and pipeline reporting leadership can trust.
• Run internal projects end to end: documentation, onboarding materials, event logistics, offsites, and the operational loose ends of a company that's scaling.
• Sit in the room: you'll join leadership conversations, carry the follow-through, and hold sensitive context from day one.
What we're looking for
• 3 to 6 years in consulting, banking, business operations, or a founder's-office seat.
• Exceptional with slides and written documents. This is the center of the job, and we'll ask for samples.
• You run many workstreams at once without dropping any, and nothing is beneath you.
• Discreet by default: you'll handle customer, financial, and strategic information constantly.
• Interest in professional services and the tax world. No tax background required, but you'll live near the subject matter.
• Looking for an in-office role and able to commute to the office in San Francisco, CA
Why Byron
• Ground floor: a small, senior team with backgrounds across Amazon's AI groups, Big 4 tax, and top consulting firms.
• A market that wants the product: the accounting profession is short on people and long on work, and firms are actively looking for help.
• Competitive salary, early-stage equity, and benefits, with a seat in every room that matters.
