The AI assistant Alice in Yandex's smart devices plays music, tells the weather, calls a taxi, helps manage a smart home, and answers questions. We are looking for a communication partner who will shape the PR strategy for smart devices and bring it to life.

What tasks await you

Launching PR campaigns for smart devices with Alice You will develop and implement communications at various stages of their lifecycle — from launch announcements to regular support. You will interact with related teams (product, marketing, brand, legal), coordinate the work of PR agencies, and build communications with the media and market experts.

Shaping and developing the product narrative You will turn complex technological solutions into clear and attractive stories for users and the market, shape long-term communication lines, and connect individual news items into a cohesive picture of product and ecosystem development.

Close interaction with business and product You will dive deep into the product and business logic of smart devices, participate in discussions about launches and changes, advise teams on communication risks and opportunities, and help make decisions taking into account reputational effects.

Crisis communications Another important area is analyzing risks, developing preventive and reactive plans and measures in case of crises, monitoring the news agenda in the media, and assessing opportunities and threats to the business.

We expect that you

• Can quickly dive into new technologies and understand how they work, how the user will interact with them, and how the market will perceive them
• Have (or are ready to quickly build) direct contacts with key journalists and experts from the world of technology
• Understand how to create long narratives from a whole series of news items
• Are able to create news items without a constant agenda from the product team
• Can package product launches into meaningful communications for users
• Understand non-standard ways of disseminating news (not just press releases, events, interviews)
• Know how to prepare comments, positions, and releases, write concisely and clearly, and can convey the meaning of complex launches in a couple of simple sentences
