Android Developer for the Ride Hailing Team

The goal of the Ride Hailing direction is to provide the user with the ability to quickly and conveniently place an order in Yandex Go and take a trip from point A to point B in any country in the world where our application is present.

We work in product teams, each of which is responsible for its own area of taxi ordering (ordering, the trip, the pick-up and drop-off points, developing shared ride scenarios). There are also teams that work on developing transportation within the Go app and Ultima — the unique ecosystem of Yandex's premium services and products — and other projects.

What tasks await you

Product Experiments We improve the accuracy of location detection, offer users more optimal pick-up points to make rides more profitable and save driver time. We develop features for convenient viewing of schedules and building routes for public transport, as well as launch new scenarios for users of premium tariffs.

Launching the taxi scenario in new countries We are launching our service in new countries, researching the specifics of user behavior and developing unique scenarios for their interaction with the product.

Application Performance and Accessibility We place great importance on the quality and speed of our application on various devices. We are also actively working on adapting the application for blind and visually impaired users to ensure an accessible and comfortable interaction experience for everyone.
