Our team works on the company's key application — the Yandex SuperApp. Every day the app helps millions of users solve a wide range of tasks: it provides access to Search, manages smart devices, helps watch movies and series, listen to music, and much more.

We are looking for a great developer who will help us improve existing features and develop new ones. Join us to work on Backend-Driven UI, smart camera, Alisa, and browser scenarios. If you like technical tasks and research, we have an endless supply of them. Currently, we are improving app launch speed and responsiveness, scrolling smoothness, and power consumption. We also work on product delivery speed: optimizing the build system, advancing testing (writing unit and autotests, screenshot tests).

Our stack:

For Android development we use Kotlin and Java, Dagger 2 (which we upgraded), coroutines, Android Architecture Components, and other standard libraries. We write tests using Espresso and Appium. And if you are interested in C++, there is always an opportunity to contribute to the Chromium core development.

What tasks await you

Architecture and new features You will design architecture, develop and implement new features, and be responsible for their quality and stability. Conduct code reviews and testing to ensure high development standards. Improve architectural solutions to maintain application reliability.

Performance and other technical metrics One of the important tasks is to study performance, identify bottlenecks in the system, and optimize it to increase application speed and reduce device resource consumption. You will need to constantly monitor and improve technical metrics, ensuring stable and efficient application operation.

Teamwork We closely collaborate with product managers, designers, and testers to effectively achieve the common goal. You will participate in discussions, propose your ideas, and share expert opinions at every stage of product development. This approach allows us to complete tasks faster and with higher quality, and make fewer mistakes.
