Salary: up to 300,000 RUB

Location: Remote + relocation to Saudi Arabia for 3 months (mandatory).

Tasks:

• Deployment and configuration of Matrix homeserver on customer infrastructure.
• Setting up fault tolerance and scalability of the backend infrastructure.
• Integration of authentication and corporate security services.
• Development of custom server modules according to requirements.
• Setting up audit, logging, and monitoring.
• Ensuring security, load testing, and preparing for audits.

Requirements:

• Backend Developer experience from 4 years.
• Commercial experience with Matrix (Synapse / Dendrite / Element) - mandatory.
• Willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia for 3 months (relocation paid) - mandatory.
• Senior backend development level: Python (Synapse - Python/Twisted) and/or Go.
• Deep experience with PostgreSQL: replication, query optimization, HA.
• Redis (caching, Pub/Sub).
• Docker, CI/CD, confident Linux administration.
• Experience with self-hosted / on-premise infrastructure and object storage (MinIO / S3 / Ceph).
• Nginx, TLS/HTTPS.
• Understanding of E2EE principles, cryptography, and secure architecture (zero-trust, defense-in-depth).
• Experience with LDAP/AD and SSO (SAML 2.0 / OIDC) integration.
• Conversational English (international project, communication with the client).

Will be a plus:

• Experience with WebRTC.
• Elasticsearch / OpenSearch.
• Experience with ICAP / antivirus solutions (ClamAV) integration.
• Experience with SIEM, compliance, and auditing (immutable/WORM logs).
• Experience on international enterprise / government projects with increased information security requirements.
