We are currently looking for a Senior Backend Developer for the Saby Maps development team – a high-load service responsible for intelligent search, working with vector tiles, geodata localization, and address information management.

Our ideal candidate is an expert capable of not only writing code but also influencing architectural decisions, improving performance, and working with large volumes of data. This is a positive leader ready to guide other backend developers, help them grow, and make complex decisions.

Our stack (not required to know everything): C++20, Python 3.11, Node.js, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Redis, KeyDB, ClickHouse, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, Kafka.

What we expect from the candidate: • Over 4 years of commercial development experience — confident proficiency in Python (migration from scripting languages is possible). • Deep knowledge of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL / ElasticSearch — ability to profile and optimize queries, desire to learn intricacies, configure performance, implement best practices. • Willingness to conduct code reviews, mentor, share experience, and create a healthy team atmosphere. • Understanding of design patterns and web application architecture. • Ability to understand someone else's codebase without complete rewriting. • Ability to independently solve complex problems, estimate timelines, and meet deadlines.

Tasks: • Designing services and developing technical solutions from scratch. • Writing clean SQL queries (without ORM) and optimizing interaction with PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, ElasticSearch. • Supporting and developing existing functionality, gradually improving architecture. • Working with high load. • Participation in team management: task distribution, quality control.
