ClickHouse Database Administrator

An international product IT company that develops and supports high-load projects for large companies, most of which are online entertainment services, is looking for a ClickHouse Database Administrator.

Responsibilities:

• Designing data storage architecture;
• Supporting existing ClickHouse clusters;
• Reviewing and optimizing SQL queries and data schemas in collaboration with developers;
• Configuring and optimizing ClickHouse instances;
• Setting up and optimizing replication and sharding processes, configuring ZooKeeper;
• Analyzing and resolving complex incidents, including investigating data degradation and loss.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience working with Linux;
• In-depth knowledge of ClickHouse architecture and principles (engines, indexes, replication, sharding, best practices);
• Confident command of Bash and SQL;
• Experience with monitoring systems.

Bonus points:

• Basic Python programming skills (for routine tasks);
• Experience with configuration management systems such as Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack;
• Advanced knowledge and experience with relational DBMS: MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
