Responsibilities
- Monitoring security events received via SIEM alerts or other security tools;
- Processing incidents from users via email and tickets;
- Assigning initial priorities to incoming messages (initial assessment of event priorities, determination of information security incidents, determination of potential risk and damage, or escalation of the request to the relevant departments);
- Monitoring the status of potential incidents and their associated dependencies;
- Notifying L2 about high-priority incidents;
- Escalating incidents to L2;
- Monitoring the incident queue;
- Monitoring and escalating false positives to the technical department;
- Knowledge of the current incident response policy;
- Participation in the Bug Bounty program, vulnerability analysis, vulnerability response, task assignment for remediation.
Requirements
- Ability to identify a workstation by data from a potential incident or request;
- General understanding of the structure of information system logs and their purpose;
- General understanding of network services (web, mail, DNS, authentication);
- General understanding of existing workstation protection tools (HIDS, AV, FW);
- Knowledge of common desktop and server operating systems;
- Ability to work under stressful conditions;
- Ability to follow processes and procedures.
