Design Lead, Transport
Transport is one of the key scenarios in 2GIS. People open the app to figure out how to get there faster and more conveniently: by car, public transport, or on foot. The navigator, public transport routes, and pedestrian navigation are daily scenarios that build the habit of using the product. Our goal is to make 2GIS the primary tool for navigating the city: increase usage frequency and grow the share of transport users among the app's entire audience. We need a player-coach: an experienced product designer and design manager in one person, who will take responsibility for the development of the transport experience: from strategy and key product solutions to interface quality and team growth.
What We Have?
- The goal and will to create the best product for choosing and navigating in the city.
- An audience of over 80 million MAU.
- Processes that allow design to significantly influence the product.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Developing transport scenarios as a product: forming a design vision for the transport track; participating in defining the product strategy together with product managers and analysts; finding solutions that impact key metrics.
- Leading the design team: managing the work of transport track designers; helping the team grow professionally and strengthen product thinking; building design workflows within a cross-functional team.
- Making complex interfaces understandable: designing scenarios with high information density and states; working at the intersection of maps, navigation, and real-time data.
- Influencing the product beyond the transport track.
- Visible balance: design/management — 50/50.
What's Important to Us?
- Experience leading designers or design teams for 2+ years.
- Experience working independently with complex interfaces and scenarios in B2C products for 5+ years.
- Strong product background and ability to work with metrics.
What Skills Will Be Useful?
- Systems thinking and the ability to see the product as a whole.
- Ability to translate product goals into concrete solutions.
- High level of UI development: consistency of solutions, attention to detail, thoughtful states, and alignment of the interface with product tasks.
- Confident work with uncertainty.
- Ability to explain and defend solutions.
- Attention to detail without losing focus on goals.
Will Be a Plus
- Experience working with maps, navigation, or mobile products;
- Experience in developing design processes;
- Experience working with real-time scenarios;
- Experience building user flows with high frequency of use.
Please attach a portfolio to your resume — we need to see your projects in action with specific results and proven product success.
