The Yandex Mail team is looking for a Team Lead for the Backend Mail Protocols group. The group is engaged in the development and evolution of high-load (tens of thousands of RPS), distributed (running simultaneously on thousands of virtual machines), fault-tolerant (SLO 99.99%) systems written in C++17/20.

Our key systems:

• The mail delivery system — ensures the sending and receiving of tens of thousands of emails per second, throughput — over 3 Gbit/s.
• The mail migration system — one of the most important parts of Yandex 360, which allows companies to join our business. The system has already migrated over 5 billion emails for more than 5 thousand companies.

Product Development You will participate in shaping the team's product strategy.

Technical Leadership You will participate in shaping the team's technical strategy, make architectural decisions, design new high-load services.

Organization of Development Processes You will need to set up effective delivery processes, ensure coordinated, focused teamwork and sustainable productivity.

Team Development and Mentoring You will develop engineers' skills, work on team motivation, ensure professional growth, create a culture of high-quality development.

Team Work Planning and Coordination You will decompose complex tasks, plan sprints, distribute work among developers, monitor timely completion and compliance with requirements.
