greenfx | middle+/senior 3d generalist / asset artist (film/vfx)
greenfx studio is looking for a middle+ / senior 3d artist with a strong artistic and technical foundation for work on film projects.
Main focus: creating high-quality, technically correct, and production-ready assets for the vfx pipeline (from props to complex environments).
⚡️ Responsibilities: • Asset creation: create 3d assets (hard surface, organic, props, locations): modeling, sculpting, retopology, UVs, PBR texturing, material setup. • Lookdev & verification: analyze references (shape, wear, scale) and verify assets in the scene (readability, correct shading in acescg). • Pipeline: prepare assets for transfer to adjacent departments, adhering to the structure, naming, and standards of the usd/houdini pipeline. • Collaboration: work closely with the 3d lead and vfx supervisor. For senior roles — review tasks and participate in pipeline development.
🎯 Requirements: • Experience in vfx, film, or advertising as an asset artist / generalist (middle+ / senior). • Strong artistic foundation: understanding of form, proportions, material physics, and their wear logic. • Ability to work with: maya/blender, zbrush, substance painter/mari. • Technical stack: understanding of working principles in houdini, usd context, and acescg workflow. • Discipline: accuracy in file structure, naming, and versioning.
➕ Will be a plus: • Deep understanding of solaris / usd and procedural modeling in houdini. • Experience with production renderers (karma, arnold, redshift) and basic nuke.
💼 We offer: • Participation in large-scale film projects. • Full-time employment (remote, hybrid, or office in Saint Petersburg). • Competitive salary (based on portfolio review results). • For senior roles — prospect of growth to project 3d lead.
