BDUI (UI/BI) Tester / BDUI QA Engineer
What will you be doing?
Functional testing of BDUI UI
- Verification of compliance with requirements and user stories: widgets, filters, dashboards, charts, tables, data export.
- Testing the correctness of filters, sorting, pagination, column selection, drill-down/detailed view.
- Validation of data formatting: numbers, dates, currencies, percentages; verification of aggregation accuracy.
- Verification of the functionality of export to CSV/Excel/PDF and saving user settings.
Testing data and business logic
- Verification of the accuracy of displayed data in the UI in accordance with API/backend data; validation of calculations and aggregations.
- Validation of business rules: data selection rules, user roles and permissions.
- Verification of scenarios with empty/incorrect data; error handling from services.
Integration testing
- Verification of BDUI interaction with backend services, analytics, APIs, authorization and reporting modules.
- API contract testing: compliance with OpenAPI/Swagger, correct handling of statuses and errors.
Performance and stability
- Measuring UI response time when loading dashboards, updating data, applying filters.
- Testing rendering and scrolling of large datasets (pagination, virtualization).
- Load testing under typical peak loads (many users, large data volumes).
What is required for this:
- Experience in testing web UI/BDUI or similar systems with dashboards, widgets, and tables.
- Experience in API testing and UI interaction with backend; knowledge of contract testing concepts.
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data verification.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management systems (e.g., Jira, Confluence, TestRail).
- Experience using UI testing tools (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium) and the ability to configure tests.
- Basic English proficiency for reading technical documentation.
- Understanding of test design principles, ability to formulate test cases and scenarios.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, basic data quality principles.
Desirable requirements:
- Experience with visual regression (Percy, Applitools) and/or built-in regression solutions in CI.
- Experience in accessibility (a11y) and performance testing (Lighthouse, JMeter, Locust).
- Experience in localization and multilingual version testing.
- Experience in fintech/banking, payment systems, or point-of-sale software.
- Experience with ETL processes and large data volume processing.
- Skills in designing tests and scenarios for offline-first architectures (if applicable).
- Experience in setting up CI/CD for multi-platform projects and knowledge of relevant tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
