We are a product team building a flagship solution for macroeconomic analysis and forecasting. Our mission is to provide market professionals with a tool that transforms arrays of complex data into clear strategies and forecasts. Our architecture combines the reliability and flexibility of modern technologies.
For us, product quality and stability are a priority, in which we invest through the development of automation and the implementation of AI technologies. We strive to increase process efficiency without compromising reliability. Now we are strengthening the quality team and looking for an experienced automation engineer who is ready to directly influence the result: maintain a high standard of releases, develop testing infrastructure, and help us deliver products that users trust.
You will work in a product team that values code quality, automation of routine processes, the use of modern AI tools, and the professional growth of employees.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests within a custom framework based on Python using BDD concepts and Playwright.
- Develop testing infrastructure: write new step definitions, helpers, page objects, and utilities within the existing framework.
- Ensure regression coverage with autotests: prioritize test cases, assess automation suitability, and implement stable and maintainable scenarios.
- Perform manual functional and exploratory testing of features that are not yet covered by automation or require preliminary work.
- Analyze autotest run results, localize failure causes, and create and manage defects in the task tracker.
- Collaborate with the development team, analysts, and DevOps: participate in planning, elaboration, and decomposition of business tasks, conduct code reviews of autotests.
- Maintain the relevance of test artifacts and documentation.
- Participate in the development of the CI/CD pipeline: configure autotest runs, manage environments, optimize run times.
Requirements
- QA experience of 3+ years, with at least 2 years in test automation.
- Solid command of Python: OOP, experience with asynchronous programming (async/await), writing clean and maintainable code.
- Practical experience with Playwright (or a similar tool) for UI automation.
- Understanding of BDD concepts and experience writing scenarios in Gherkin (Given/When/Then predicates), experience with frameworks like behave, pytest-bdd, or similar.
- Experience testing REST API: understanding HTTP, status codes, JSON/XML formats, working with tools (Postman, Insomnia, curl, or similar).
- SQL knowledge at the query writing level: JOINs, aggregate functions, subqueries, understanding indexes.
- Experience with Git (branching flows, pull requests, code review), CI/CD systems (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).
- Understanding of SDLC and STLC, experience working in Agile teams (Scrum / Kanban).
- Ability to localize issues: analyzing logs, working with DevTools, understanding client-server architecture.
- Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, etc.) and understanding the principles of event-driven architecture.
- Experience in mentoring/coaching: conducting code reviews, onboarding new employees, forming a QA development roadmap will be an advantage.
- Experience applying AI agents and LLMs in testing processes: generating test cases, automatic analysis of test run results, code review of autotests, improving coverage using AI.
