Your key goal is to help the service scale, implement new features, and optimize it, directly impacting the experience of millions of users and the operation of Yandex's critical systems.

We work with very high loads and scales, which imposes constant and interesting requirements for performance and fault tolerance. The architectural decisions we make today determine how the service will handle tomorrow's loads. The team has a culture of ownership: everyone is responsible for their functionality from idea to production, including monitoring and support. We don't just close tickets; we create a product we are proud of.
API and Protocol Development You will participate in expanding the service's own API and deepening support for the S3 standard. This includes designing new methods, ensuring backward compatibility, and implementing complex business logic for data operations.
Integration with the Yandex Cloud Ecosystem You will work closely with other cloud services: integrating Object Storage with access management systems (IAM), encryption (KMS), billing, and others.
On-premises Development You will ensure the stable operation of Object Storage in isolated client environments, adapting the service to modern and commonly accepted open-source technologies and solutions.
Performance and Stability Optimization You will analyze metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements that allow the service to stably process millions of requests per second. This is direct work to make our service fast and reliable.
