System software engineer / Системный инженер-программист (TATLIN.UNIFIED)

Our department is part of a large development team for YADRO’s flagship product – TATLIN.UNIFIED. The product is a modern storage system designed to address the challenges of traditional corporate applications, big data, and analytics, used in data centers, public, and private clouds.

We are developing a subsystem that integrates services from other teams, the Linux OS, and storage hardware components into a unified product, and we are also creating the product's Linux distribution.

We pay great attention to the correct implementation of tasks: we ensure that everything works quickly and with optimal hardware resource consumption. Each task requires thorough elaboration and deep understanding.

We develop in Go, but deep knowledge of this language is not as important to us; basic engineering technology knowledge is much more important: understanding algorithms for data processing, fundamental data structures, and, of course, the desire to grow and tackle tasks with thoughtful consideration.

What you will be doing:

• working in an agile team;
• creating and maintaining a specialized Linux-based distribution;
• writing scripts, including those for automating the maintenance and updating of the storage system complex;
• interacting with the storage system hardware using various protocols and interfaces;
• participating in all stages of development: requirement analysis and solution design, implementation, code review, writing tests, troubleshooting in test and field environments.
• designing and developing components in Go for Linux.

What we expect from a future team member:

• solid understanding of Linux/Unix architecture (administration and build);
• basic proficiency in one of the programming languages: Python/Go;
• experience writing bash scripts;
• understanding of modern server hardware architecture and the constraints of embedded systems;
• basic knowledge of networks and data transmission protocols.

We also welcome:

• solid Go proficiency and/or a strong desire to grow in this area;
• Linux knowledge at the level of kernel driver architecture, experience developing Linux drivers;
• experience with Redfish, IPMI, gRPC protocols;
• experience working with BMC, MCU, PCIe devices;
• general Computer Science, knowledge in related fields.
