Database Administrator DBA

In connection with infrastructure development, the System Administration department is opening a position for a Database Administrator / DBA. The work format is remote, with occasional visits to the Medvezhie Data Center possible.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Audit, control, and development of the MSSQL infrastructure (configuration, HA/DR, backup).
- Identification and elimination of critical risks and performance bottlenecks.
- Ensuring the correct operation of backup and restore processes (backup/restore).
- Regular optimization of problematic queries and overall database performance.
- Maintenance and development of the monitoring and alerting system (integration with the department's overall system monitoring).
- Maintaining documentation and developing a database infrastructure development plan.
- Participation in projects for the implementation of new hardware and software related to MSSQL.
- Ensuring fault tolerance and readiness for disaster recovery (RPO/RTO).
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration.
- Deep understanding of MSSQL architecture and performance tuning.
- Practical experience with HA/DR: Always On / Failover Cluster.
- Confident SQL query optimization skills (execution plans, indexes, wait stats).
- Experience in setting up backup/restore and ensuring RPO/RTO.
- Confident Windows Server administration (AD, clustering).
- Understanding of networks and infrastructure impact on databases.
- Automation skills (PowerShell).
- Experience implementing monitoring (e.g., Zabbix).
- Experience working with high-load / critical systems.
