We are looking for a Lead QA Engineer to join the pricing team. The team is responsible for one of the retail chain's key products: calculating final prices, processing marketing promotions, and generating price tags for different store formats. Thousands of stores use the system daily, and the platform itself directly impacts the accuracy of prices, promotional mechanics, and the customer experience in stores.
You will work with complex business logic: verifying price and promotion prioritization mechanics, testing the generation of paper and electronic price tags, analyzing data in the database, and participating in the development of a product that is constantly scaling for new store formats and sales scenarios. The role involves in-depth work with backend logic, SQL, and integrations, not just UI testing.

What you will be doing
- Assess the compliance of developed software product quality characteristics with declared requirements
- Identify, localize, and register defects
- Evaluate the possibility of including software products in update deliveries and releasing deliveries into operation based on the criticality of found defects and their impact on the Company's business processes
- Analyze the causes of defects in information systems and develop recommendations for their prevention
- Participate in the analysis of defect causes
- Manage a testing group
- Assign tasks to performers
- Audit performer tasks
What we expect
- 3+ years of experience in software testing, including work in various development methodologies and understanding of the full testing cycle
- Expert knowledge of the main types of testing: functional, integration, regression, and system, as well as confident command of test analysis and test design techniques
- Experience in developing test documentation and artifacts: test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, bug reports, as well as conducting testing quality audits
- Practical experience in testing web applications and integration solutions, including REST API, SOAP/http services, as well as working with Postman and SoapUI
- Experience with databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, FireBird), writing SQL queries (DML/DDL), and testing data processing at the database level
- Confident skills in working with technical infrastructure: Unix-like OS, Git/SVN, nginx, tomcat, virtualization systems, and test environment support
- Experience in mentoring and managing a testing team, including effort estimation, risk management, and analysis of production error causes
