Chief Architect (Payments / PSP)

Limassol, Cyprus A major payment provider (PSP): several processing systems, high-load payment processing, crypto, on-prem infrastructure. The company is transitioning from legacy to target architecture and is looking for the architectural backbone of the entire group.

The role is the group's architectural leader under the CTO (without ownership of delivery and budget, not a "second CTO"): target architecture, platform layer, standards, Architecture Review, mentoring domain architects.

Responsibilities: • group target architecture and the plan for transitioning to it; • platform layer and shared services on top of multiple processing systems; • decomposition of legacy (strangler), without stopping business operations; • unified standards (API, events, data ownership) and development of the architecture function.

We expect: • experience with payment processing architecture / PSP hands-on, not just "nearby"; • money core: ledger, reconciliation, routing/cascading, multiple processing systems; • experience in legacy decomposition and high-load; • comfortable working under a CTO in a pure architecture role; • willingness to relocate to Cyprus or already be there.

Bonus points for: crypto payments, PCI DSS, on-prem/hybrid infrastructure.
