Yandex Travel is a service that helps plan a trip in minutes: find tickets, hotels, or apartments, read reviews, and pay for everything with a card.

We are the leader among hotel booking services in Russia, and our team is building a business trip service for companies: currently for small and medium-sized businesses, and in the future — for large ones. We aim to become number one in the business trip market in Russia within a couple of years.

What tasks await you

Service Development You will actively participate in the development of a truly large-scale business that is useful to everyone who has ever planned a vacation or business trip.

You will create product solutions as part of a cross-functional team, in close collaboration with adjacent service teams — from development to product. You will be involved in the technical development of the system: building a scalable architecture, implementing new technologies, improving stability and throughput, and increasing code quality and delivery speed. You will need to implement integration with adjacent systems and automate processes at the intersection of professions.

You will have to find non-standard solutions: we often do things differently than usual, and differently than everyone else — this is embedded in our DNA.

We expect you to

• Have over 6 years of commercial development experience in a cross-functional team using a JVM stack or another stack with a willingness to switch to JVM
• Be ready to work in a hybrid format from cities where our teams are located (Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg) or remotely from any city in the Russian Federation
• Be ready to dive into the product domain, understand user pain points, and solve them
• Understand what N + 1 is and why O(n²) is bad
• Have solved technical tasks within a turnkey service or system

It will be a plus if you

• Know how to apply AI tools in your work without delegating important decisions
• Have worked directly with the client
