The yachting holding Burevestnik Group is looking for a Chief Editor for Yachting magazine.
Burevestnik Group is the leading yachting holding in the Russian Federation, specializing in the sale of premium brand motor yachts and boats, yacht infrastructure management (yacht clubs, marinas), and providing comprehensive services for shipowners and their vessels.
Yachting is the first international publication in Russian dedicated to motor yachts, boats, and an active lifestyle.
Responsibilities:
- Define the editorial policy and conceptual direction of the magazine, forming thematic plans for issues considering trends and audience requests
- Come up with topics, sections, featured individuals, prepare creative briefs, select and curate content (articles, essays, interviews, reviews, overviews)
- Work with the author pool: attract experts, critics, writers
- Edit texts at a high stylistic and semantic level, ensuring the publication's stylistic consistency
- Coordinate the editorial team (editors, art department, external communications), monitoring issue deadlines and schedule
- Interact with partners (exhibitions) for special projects, collaborations, photoshoots, and video formats
- Participate in magazine presentations, professional forums, media events, and the organization of glossy photoshoots/videos
Requirements:
- Higher education (philology, journalism, or related field)
- Mandatory experience in editorial work as a chief editor of a glossy magazine (preferably in the Luxury segment) for at least 3 years
- High level of literacy
- Team management and task setting skills
- Experience interacting with experts and public figures
- Ability to build long-term mutually beneficial partnerships
- Readiness to work in an intensive mode and meet strict deadlines
- Creativity
