Kinopoisk (Yandex) is looking for a Lead Designer of Partner Special Projects who will come up with ideas on how to make partner integrations native and useful, and turn a film or series into an event.
This is a role at the intersection of product and communications: you need to think about the user journey, understand the limitations of a large service, and at the same time find an idea, a hook, a tonality, a visual language, and a presentation format.
Partners come to the team with various tasks: to create an image campaign, attract new users, or bring back those who haven't visited for a long time. They don't want to solve these problems with banners and pop-ups — instead, they are looking for formats that provide value to the user, results for the partner, and don't break the Kinopoisk user experience.
You will work with three types of integrations:
- Film and series integrations: these are projects with content producers, rights holders, and distributors around films, series, premieres, and franchises. For Kinopoisk, this is the most natural format: the content is already interesting to the user, and the designer's task is to enhance the sense of event through identity, atmosphere, service branding, activations, and details that make the premiere more noticeable.
- Large partner special projects: these are tasks from brands that want to achieve their business goals through Kinopoisk. Here, it's important not just to place the brand in the interface, but to understand what the partner can offer our users: a bonus, access, special terms, a new scenario, or a reason to return to the product.
- Regular commercial inventory: these are formats that can live in the product permanently and not feel like advertising: native blocks, promo scenarios, entry points, and mechanics embedded in the user experience.
Requirements:
- Have five or more years of experience in product design
- Able to find user value in a commercial task
- Understand the difference between advertising and a native product scenario
- Can come up with mechanics, visual packaging, and user journey
- Feel the tonality, context, brand, and moment of presentation
- Understand the limitations of a large product and know how to work with them
- Willing to share a portfolio with implemented cases
