EMCD is a technology company in the cryptocurrency sphere and the largest mining pool in Eastern Europe. We are developing an international ecosystem of products: from mining and payment infrastructure to custodial services and business solutions.
We are looking for a Data Quality Analyst to help make data a reliable basis for decision-making across the entire company. In this role, you will be responsible for data quality, building control processes, helping analysts and engineers find the causes of discrepancies, and developing a data quality culture. This is a position for a specialist who is not just interested in analyzing data, but in influencing how much the entire business trusts it.
Responsibilities
- Monitor data quality in the product platform: identify, analyze, and help resolve data issues.
- Work with analysts as primary internal customers: investigate incidents, gather requirements, and find the root causes of discrepancies.
- Develop Data Quality processes: implement checks, monitoring, alerts, and regular validation of key data marts and metrics.
- Analyze data sources, ETL/ELT processes, and data marts; identify weak points in calculation logic, loads, and transformations.
- Maintain data documentation: descriptions of tables, metrics, calculation rules, data sources, and areas of responsibility.
- Help analytical teams navigate data more quickly, explain structure, limitations, and specifics of calculations.
- Collaborate with data engineers, backend developers, product managers, and business analysts to improve data reliability and transparency.
- Participate in developing a data quality culture and implementing unified standards for working with data and incidents.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Product Analyst, or Data Quality Analyst.
- Proficient in SQL and experience analyzing complex queries, data marts, and table relationships.
- Understanding of DWH principles, ETL/ELT processes, and the data lifecycle.
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Superset, Looker, or equivalents).
- Ability to identify the causes of data discrepancies and analyze problems from business metrics down to specific sources or pipelines.
- Systems thinking, attention to detail, and a desire to build clear processes and maintain high data quality.
- Ability to effectively interact with analysts, engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders.
- Experience with Python is a plus.
- Familiarity with Airflow, GitLab, dbt, or similar tools will be an advantage.
- Experience in product or technology companies is welcome.
