Freedom Travel is the leading TravelTech company in Kazakhstan, helping millions of users book tickets, plan trips, and manage business travel online. We are creating a production ML platform for pricing, optimization, recommendations, search, and forecasting tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Research and develop models for pricing, optimization, recommendations, ranking/search, forecasting, and causal inference tasks.
- Conduct applied research, rapid experiments, evaluate scientific articles and approaches used in the industry.
- Design offline and online experiments, evaluate model quality and their impact on business metrics.
- Translate ambiguous business tasks into ML or optimization problems and bring solutions to production.
- Collaborate with product, analytics, and development teams.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in ML Engineering, Data Science, or Research Engineering.
- Strong mathematical foundation: probability theory, statistics, linear algebra, and optimization.
- Proficient in Python and SQL.
- Experience with predictive modeling, recommender systems, forecasting, experiments, deep learning, or retrieval.
- Experience with ML in production: model training, deployment, inference, monitoring, quality evaluation, and reproducible experiments.
Will be a plus:
- Higher education in applied mathematics, computer science, statistics, or data science.
- Experience with product ML or big data, as well as strong expertise in conducting experiments.
