Nekki is a game development studio with over 20 years of experience. We create games for mobile, PC, and consoles, focusing on product quality and player experience. The Shadow Fight series and Vector have been downloaded over 1 billion times, and we continue to grow and support these franchises. At the same time, we’re building new titles: SPINE and Fight Me.

We are currently looking for a middle level VFX Artist to join the team of our flagship project – Shadow Fight 4: Arena.

Shadow Fight 4: Arena is the first mobile fighting game featuring real-time synchronous PvP alongside PvE, including a social system where players can make friends and duel with them.

Responsibilities:

• Create effects for characters, environments, and weapons
• Design effects with a focus on conveying the physicality and power of specific animations, such as strikes, hits, and falls, ensuring all actions are accompanied by satisfying VFX
• Participate in playtesting and provide suggestions for improving the game experience from a VFX specialist’s perspective

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience in creating visual effects in a realistic and/or stylized games
• Proficiency in Unity
• Ability to write shaders in code
• A portfolio that includes 3D VFX is required
• Fluent communication in Russian is required

Would be a plus:

• Skill in creating beautiful flipbooks with frame-by-frame animations
• Artistic skills
• Experience optimizing effects
