Data Science Intern

Responsibilities

• Conduct analytics and monitor model performance;
• Collect and prepare data;
• Conduct EDA;
• Perform feature engineering;
• Develop new Machine Learning models (regression, classification, time series modeling, clustering);
• Optimize scripts for data/model/inference pipelines;
• Prepare project code for production;
• Support current analytics: model bug fixes and ad-hoc request fulfillment.

Requirements

• Higher education (or you are in the final years of university) in a technical field;
• Have a solid mathematical foundation (understand what's under the hood of gradient descent, know the characteristics of basic distributions, can explain PCA and OLS in simple terms);
• Can and love to write code in Python;
• Strive to optimize code;
• Are not afraid to delve into someone else's code;
• Understand SQL;
• Proficient in basic data analysis libraries (minimum requirement - pandas, numpy, sklearn);
• Have a deep understanding of fundamental classical Machine Learning algorithms (basic linear and tree-based models);
• Interested in new approaches in the Data Science world (a plus);
• Have participated in Machine Learning competitions (a plus);
• Know what the Central Bank's key rate is (a plus).
