Job description:
We are building a digital product from scratch: a B2C and B2B system with marketplace elements and several functional modules. We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design and support the infrastructure of a large online project.
Responsibilities:
Participate in designing the product platform from scratch:
- Develop GitOps approaches
- Design security policies, secrets management model, access provision schemes
- Develop an approach to backups and DR
- Configure monitoring, log aggregation and viewing, alerting, and tracing
- Design the role model and configure the IAM module
- Configure CI/CD pipelines, application containerization, manage their deployment and lifecycle
- Fully manage project clusters (managed k8s): deploy, configure, and support platform infrastructure
Requirements:
- Experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer / SRE / Infrastructure Engineer
- Solid experience with Kubernetes
- Experience configuring CI/CD: GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar systems
- Experience with IAM: RBAC, ABAC, users, roles, groups
- Experience in Linux and network administration
- Experience configuring monitoring, logging, and alerting
- Experience with databases and brokers at the infrastructure level: PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ
- Willingness to work on a product from scratch, where some decisions need to be chosen, documented, and implemented, and then supported and developed
Bonus points:
- Experience with various IAM systems
- Experience implementing SSO, configuring OAuth2/OIDC flows, integrating IAM with backend/frontend
- Any experience beyond the above list
Tech stack:
We are finalizing the stack, your input is welcome. Approximate list under consideration: k8s, GitLab CI, ArgoCD/Flux, Terraform/OpenTofu, Nginx/Traefik/Envoy, Grafana/Prometheus and their entire ecosystem, Keycloak/Zitadel, PostgreSQL, Kafka/RabbitMQ.
