A new Product Owner position has opened up.

We are looking for a Product Owner – KYB & Onboarding to develop end-to-end business onboarding and KYB processes within a financial product.

This is a role at the intersection of product ownership, merchant onboarding, compliance workflows, risk assessment, customer journey design, and integrations with external verification providers. The specialist will be responsible for the onboarding journey, business verification, document collection, beneficial ownership checks, AML / sanctions / watchlist screening, risk review automation, and integrations with KYB providers.

The main goal of the role is to create a fast, compliant, and scalable onboarding experience for business customers, reduce entry friction, and increase the share of automated checks.

Key Responsibilities: ▪️ Own the KYB and onboarding roadmap and product backlog. ▪️ Formulate requirements, workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the engineering team. ▪️ Prioritize initiatives considering customer experience, compliance, and risk outcomes. ▪️ Design and improve onboarding journeys for business customers. ▪️ Optimize document collection, verification, and approval processes. ▪️ Reduce onboarding friction and improve conversion rates. ▪️ Define onboarding SLAs and automation opportunities. ▪️ Own business verification workflows. ▪️ Work with beneficial ownership verification requirements. ▪️ Support sanctions screening, AML checks, watchlist screening, and risk assessments. ▪️ Ensure onboarding processes comply with regulatory requirements. ▪️ Automate compliance and risk reviews. ▪️ Own integrations with KYB providers, government registries, sanctions databases, and identity verification platforms. ▪️ Increase automation rates and reduce the number of manual reviews. ▪️ Define monitoring and alerting requirements for onboarding operations. ▪️ Participate in backlog prioritization, sprint planning, testing, and release activities. ▪️ Formulate KPIs and operational dashboards. ▪️ Gather feedback from Operations, Compliance, and customers to improve onboarding performance.

What's Important: ▪️ 3+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Business Analysis. ▪️ Experience with onboarding, KYC, KYB, AML, or compliance products. ▪️ Understanding of customer journey design and workflow automation. ▪️ Experience working with APIs, third-party integrations, and engineering teams. ▪️ Ability to translate compliance, risk, and operational logic into clear product requirements. ▪️ Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills. ▪️ Experience collaborating with Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Engineering teams. ▪️ Understanding of verification processes, document flows, approval logic, and risk assessment journeys. ▪️ Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or lending will be a big plus. ▪️ Attention to detail, as the role is directly related to regulatory compliance, onboarding quality, and reduction of manual operational work.

Key Role Metrics: ▪️ Onboarding conversion rate. ▪️ Time to onboard / time to approval. ▪️ Automation rate. ▪️ Manual review rate. ▪️ KYB approval SLA. ▪️ Drop-off rate at onboarding steps. ▪️ Compliance review turnaround time. ▪️ Reduction of false positives / unnecessary manual checks. ▪️ Operational workload reduction. ▪️ On-time delivery of roadmap initiatives.
