We are developing Yandex's service catalog and an internal platform that helps to perform routine operations faster. We are looking for a developer proficient in Python and Go. If you enjoy large, complex services and want to make decisions that impact the product, join us.
Our group is part of Platform Engineering. We develop internal services used daily by all Yandex employees. The main tool of our team is the company's service catalog. It helps structure Yandex's activities, build product hierarchies, staff teams with specialists, and define relationships between teams, people, and products. The service catalog is constantly evolving and addresses four main tasks: transparency of people's employment in the company, tracking income and expenses, access control, and organizing on-call duty processes. We are actively developing the IDP — Internal Developer Platform. This is an internal platform for managers, developers, and operations engineers, helping to perform routine daily operations faster: product updates, releases, new application design, incident resolution, and more. Our main focus is to provide maximum value to Yandex's product teams and increase their work efficiency. The service has its own dedicated team. At the same time, we closely interact with other teams both within our department and beyond. We actively use modern internal and external technologies and solutions, optimize and unify development to achieve maximum efficiency. You will have the opportunity to directly participate in making and implementing all key decisions concerning our service. Our stack:
The current backend is written in Python. However, we will be writing new services in Go, and in the future, we aim to have only Go. Therefore, we need someone who is confident in at least one of these languages and is ready to work with both.
