Director of Immersive Training for Educational Startup Nexum

Startup Neхum is looking for a talented, creative Director to collaborate on projects involving the creation and delivery of immersive training.

Neхum is a startup that creates and delivers immersive training sessions with professional actors for businesses in soft skills (negotiation, sales, leadership, and others). The company has no direct competitors worldwide; this product is unique.

The team makes extraordinary efforts to create complex products at the intersection of professional business training and immersive theater, as well as elements of a show (music, sounds, smells, lighting, etc.). The work involves project-based employment: you will be engaged from time to time to prepare specific trainings, stage scenes and other activities, conduct castings and rehearsals.

Responsibilities:

• Staging acting scenes for immersive trainings
• Conducting rehearsals and working with actors
• Assisting in finding and selecting actors and support staff
• Organizing and conducting castings and read-throughs
• Assisting with script development and character work
• Adapting scenes to the tasks and format of a specific training
• Interacting with the producer and project team

Candidate Expectations:

• Experience in directing theatrical (preferably immersive) projects
• Skills in working with actors and staging interactive scenes
• Experience conducting castings, read-throughs, and rehearsals
• Understanding the specifics of working with an audience or participant within the stage action
• Experience in writing, editing, or directing script development
• Independence, responsibility, and readiness to join projects by prior agreement
• Experience specifically in immersive projects will be a significant advantage, but directors from related fields are also welcome

Collaboration Format:

• Project-based, periodic employment
• Work primarily during the preparation and rehearsal stages
• Payment for a specific project or agreed scope of work
• Schedule, deadlines, and fees are discussed separately before the start of each project
• If you have acting experience and desire, you can also participate in individual projects as an actor
