Senior Developer for the Arcanum Team

Our group is part of Platform Engineering at Yandex. Most of Yandex's code resides in a monorepository, which uses the internal version control system Arc VCS. We develop Arcanum—a web portal for comfortable work with code and pull requests in Arc VCS. Arcanum is now an integral part of our product development. It combines the processes of review, CI, releases, collects commit statistics, and provides convenient analytics. We create mechanisms that allow flexible configuration of team review rules, enable code commenting, conveniently display pull request changes, a clear CI interface, and much more. We are looking for someone who wants to use modern technologies and is ready to write tools for peers: for other developers.

Tasks that await you

AI-Ready API You will write MCP infrastructure to support various AI assistant scenarios and implement various features for automating team processes (e.g., code suggestions). You will also need to work on API guarantees.

Stability During Arcanum's development, we intentionally simplified many things, cut corners in some places. Currently, we are actively increasing the reliability and stability of the service to improve the quality of life for developers.

Improving review processes Many of our tasks improve the flexibility and speed of code review and verification processes. We want to increase the quality and transparency of processes for developers.

We expect that you

• Have developed in Java
• Know relational databases (PostgreSQL)
• Can design REST APIs and work with gRPC
• Understand architectural practices for developing distributed services
