Product Manager

Location: South Africa (Cape Town) Company: HaaS platform partner Employment: Full-time Salary from $3500-4000

We are an international fintech group creating an ecosystem of payment solutions for businesses worldwide. Our flagship product is POS software and services for automating small and medium-sized businesses. The product is already successfully launched and operating in the South African market. We are currently looking for a strong Product Manager who is already in South Africa (or ready to relocate from nearby regions, such as Mauritius or Nigeria) to develop the project locally, adapting it to the specifics of the market and the needs of key partners.

Main responsibilities:

• Product development in South Africa: Deep immersion in local specifics, adaptation of functionality, and product development considering the features of the South African market.
• Management of a cross-functional team: Task assignment and monitoring execution (the team includes an analyst, Backend, Frontend, and DevOps).
• Stakeholder Management: Close collaboration with the local partner and the regional CEO, elaboration and implementation of ideas in the product.
• Managing the development cycle: Backlog prioritization, requirements work, and quality control (testers work in an adjacent department).

We expect:

• 3+ years of experience in a Product Manager role.
• Experience in Fintech.
• Language proficiency: Russian (for internal communication) and English at C1 level or higher (for negotiations with partners and local management).
• We are looking for a candidate in the local South African market (Cape Town). We are also ready to consider candidates from other African countries willing to relocate.
• Ability to speak the same language as developers, experience in managing the software development lifecycle.
• High level of communication, independence, and ability to make decisions in a dynamic environment. Would be a plus:
• Experience working with POS software, acquiring, or systems for retail/SME.
