Digital Economy League is looking for a colleague for the role of Database Administrator for an import substitution project in the infrastructure stream for a large bank.
Your tasks:
- Design and implement import substitution strategies: conduct a deep audit of critical applications (Oracle/MSSQL) and select the optimal migration path.
- Manage the DB lifecycle: configure, optimize, and maintain high-load PostgreSQL (version 15+) and Postgres Pro clusters.
- Ensure fault tolerance and scalability: deploy and administer clusters using Patroni and Postgres Pro BIHA, configure physical and logical replication.
- Migrate data: implement data transfer from Oracle, MSSQL DBMS to PostgreSQL using modern tools (ora2pg, ETL processes) and minimize downtime through logical replication.
- Build a monitoring and security system: configure comprehensive monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana, Zabbix, PPEM) and ensure data protection (SSL/TLS, RBAC, audit, pgcrypto/TDE encryption).
- Automate infrastructure: describe deployment and configuration processes using Ansible (playbooks) and work in an environment of domestic OS (RED OS, Astra Linux).
We expect from you:
- Deep expertise in PostgreSQL/Postgres Pro: not just starting the database, but understanding how it works "under the hood" (parameter tuning, replication operation, cluster architecture).
- Experience in migrating complex systems: understanding the difference between migration approaches and the ability to choose the right tool (ora2pg, etc.) for a specific task.
- Knowledge of import substitution specifics: familiarity with the registry of domestic software and understanding the legal and technical aspects of transitioning to Russian solutions.
- Confident Linux skills: experience with Astra Linux or RED OS, understanding how the DB load profile affects the choice of operating system.
Will be a plus:
- Successful import substitution cases with data migration over 1TB.
- Experience replacing GoldenGate with Debezium + Kafka + PostgreSQL.
- Relevant PostgreSQL certifications.
What we will provide:
- Trips to conferences and training at the company's expense, internal seminars, internal meetups, we love learning new things.
- Hybrid work format in a comfortable office (Moscow, 2 days office/3 days remote).
- Equipment for comfortable work.
- Personnel professional development session twice a year, resulting in an individual development plan for each employee.
- Interest-based communities: Sports League, Intelligence League, as well as the opportunity to organize your own community and receive company support.
- Corporate culture with its own values and traditions, where everyone feels part of the team.
