ITMO University is looking for a Marketing Director.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy and Portfolio: Development and implementation of the university's marketing strategy and educational product portfolio based on analysis of target audiences, competitors, market, and consumer behavior. Managing the promotion of a diverse portfolio: maintaining the quality of competition for high-demand programs, generating demand where it is insufficient. Stimulating demand for grant and state-funded programs where price is not a motivating factor. Go-to-market for new products: audience, positioning, channels, communications, and launch KPIs;
- Attraction and Selection: Building and optimizing the applicant attraction funnel from first contact to enrollment, identifying points of loss and increasing conversion at each stage. Focusing on the quality of enrollment alongside volume — average score, proportion of Olympiad participants and international applicants, representation of target schools and regions. Working with the Olympiad landscape: Olympiad landscape, logic for selecting prize-winners and winners, competition with leading universities. Launching and optimizing advertising campaigns in Yandex Direct, RSYA, social networks, and other relevant channels. Developing CRM marketing: segmentation, communication scenarios, increasing conversion at funnel stages;
- Brand and Events: Promoting the university brand: working on recognition and reputation, not just enrollment. Marketing support for university events and special projects;
- Analytics: Building a marketing analytics and reporting system: KPIs, channel effectiveness, funnel, cost per acquisition at each stage, recommendations for optimization. Independently searching for data outside internal systems (open data from competitor admission campaigns, industry statistics, regulator decisions) and readiness to build and defend strategy with data;
- Team and Resources: Managing the marketing team (over 10 people): recruitment, onboarding, responsibility allocation, competency development. Cross-functional work with the admissions committee, program heads, faculties, and related departments, where a significant portion of the results depends on people outside your direct supervision. Forming and controlling the marketing budget with optimization of allocation across channels and setting tasks for external contractors with control over deadlines, quality, and results.
