Analyst-Developer for the Anti-Fraud Team

Our team protects many Yandex services from various types of fraudulent activities. We detect and prevent the artificial inflation of likes, reviews, and subscribers, as well as the abuse of bonuses, discounts, grants, and other similar mechanics.

We are currently expanding and looking for analyst-developers of various levels who are interested in solving tasks at the intersection of analytics, machine learning, and information security. You will be tasked with analyzing large volumes of data and determining whether user activity is legitimate or fraudulent.

What tasks await you

Data Analysis You will be looking for anomalies, training models, coming up with and writing new features, investigating incidents, and puzzling situations.

Solving Business Problems with ML Methods You will be developing, training, and implementing ML models and algorithms for automated fraud detection. You will analyze data and answer complex questions, as well as generate and test hypotheses.

Quality Control of the Product and Metrics You will come up with, implement, and improve metrics for the quality of anti-fraud systems.

We expect that you

• Are proficient in Python and SQL
• Have worked with ML models and understand when to use them and when simpler solutions are sufficient
• Can work effectively with large volumes of data

It will be a plus if you

• Have worked in anti-fraud, anomaly detection, or related tasks
• Have solved tasks involving text analysis, graph data structures, or have applied unsupervised machine learning models
