Senior Data Scientist for the Business Security Anti-Fraud Team

About the Team

Business Security develops and maintains intelligent algorithms for scoring users, communication between them, and various events such as product orders or ad views. Our goal is to minimize actions that damage the company's monetization products.

Examples of Future Tasks:

• Develop anti-fraud that protects Avito's monetization mechanics;
• Train ML models, including those based on NLP;
• Integrate models into the MLFlow platform for regular quality control of their performance and regular retraining;
• Apply advanced NLP methods to search for cases of monetization bypass in communications;
• Find connections between accounts and new types of fraud;
• Under the supervision of developers, integrate trained models into high-load services (hundreds of rps).

It would be great if you:

• Have a good knowledge of NLP methods;
• Know Python and have experience using it in production services;
• Can evaluate not only the quality of models at the launch of a new project but also its change over time, as well as the impact on business;
• Are ready to work on tasks iteratively, from simple solutions to more complex ones;
• Can write SQL queries;
• Have command of English at a level that allows at least fluent reading of specialized literature.
