REMOTE GLOBAL OR RELOCATION TO CYPRUS**
We are developing a B2B platform in the iGaming and Sports Products sector. It is a high-load system, including both external user-facing services and internal tools for process automation, efficiency improvement, and error reduction.
Currently, we are strengthening the backend team and looking for a strong Senior / Tech Lead Backend Developer who is interested not just in implementing individual features, but in participating in service design, influencing the architecture, and the development of the technical platform.
What you will be working on
Depending on the team and direction, these may include:
- Payment processing systems and integration with payment providers;
- Bonus system;
- Secure processing and storage of user data services;
- Obtaining and processing data from external sources;
- B2B platform API;
- Backend services for the user-facing part of the product;
- Development of the general backend platform and infrastructure solutions;
- Solutions in the areas of scalability, reliability, security, and observability;
- Development of DWH and data infrastructure.
Technology Stack
Golang (99%), gRPC, ConnectRPC, NATS, YDB, Redis, ClickHouse, AWS EKS, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, GitLab CI, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Sentry, OpenTelemetry.
Your responsibilities
- develop high-load microservices in Go;
- design new services from scratch;
- consider architecture and inter-service communication;
- design solutions considering further load growth;
- work with relational and non-relational databases;
- solve caching and data synchronization tasks;
- ensure service fault tolerance and consider graceful degradation;
- improve system reliability, availability, and security;
- work on platform scalability, including multitenancy;
- participate in architectural and technical team decisions;
- improve code development and delivery processes.
For Tech Lead level, additionally:
- define the technical direction for backend platform development;
- systematize architecture and engineering processes;
- influence the team's time-to-market;
- develop approaches to observability, authN/authZ, service mesh, and infrastructure;
- act as a technical leader and help the team make complex engineering decisions;
- develop engineering culture and practices within the team.
What we expect
- strong backend development experience;
- confident knowledge of Golang or a serious backend background and readiness to quickly switch to Go;
- experience in developing web services and distributed systems;
- understanding of microservice architecture principles;
- database experience;
- understanding of scaling and high-load systems operation;
- ability to write reliable, maintainable, and quality code;
- capacity for deep understanding of complex technical problems;
- systematic engineering thinking;
- good teamwork and communication skills.
Experience with the following will be especially useful:
- high-load systems;
- Kubernetes and modern cloud infrastructure;
- observability;
- authN/authZ;
- service mesh;
- event-driven architecture;
- data engineering / DWH.
For the Tech Lead position, experience in technical leadership is important: the ability to form an architectural vision, make systemic decisions, and reduce technical chaos as the product grows.
