We are building a DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) system – these are internal technologies and services that manage the entire fleet of Yandex's server equipment, the core upon which the entire company's infrastructure is built, along with its virtualized capacities and platform services.

What tasks do our products solve: * structure a large array of data about server equipment and its configuration; * ensure the planning and forecasting of the development of Yandex's server fleet; * configure server firmware and install operating systems at the click of a button; * conduct load testing of equipment; * carry out distributed monitoring of the state of server equipment and the data centers themselves; * ensure equipment supply and RnD processes.

In addition to creating information systems, we also work with hardware – we are the first to receive new platforms, test them together with the RnD team, develop control code, and adapt new equipment to work within Yandex's infrastructure.

What tasks await you

Capacity Management You will develop new algorithms for evaluating and forecasting the consumption of key resources (space, cooling, power).

Asset, Configuration, and Supply Management You will design and improve data models in a rapidly changing world.

Launching the HaaS product Together with the team, you will build a new product based on our technologies as part of Yandex Cloud.

What we expect from you

• Have a confident command of Python
• Have experience with relational and non-relational DBMS
• Are ready to be responsible not for lines of code, but for the product

Will be a plus

• Understand the difference between IPv4 and IPv6
• Understand how the Linux kernel works
• Know what CI/CD, containers, and virtualization are
