We promote VK's technology brand within the IT community — millions of people use our services every day. We create news hooks, prepare content for industry platforms, support our specialists' presentations at conferences, and build communications with partners, experts, and the media.
Responsibilities
- Participate in shaping the technical PR strategy and implementing the tactical plan
- Find and create news hooks for promoting the company's technologies: both for a broad audience and for the IT community
- Work with expert content — write, edit, and publish articles about VK technologies
- Initiate research, interviews, prepare press releases (jointly with the editorial team), conceive and prepare special projects
- Organize the participation of technical department heads in conferences and podcasts
- Build effective long-term relationships with partners, experts, and journalists of various levels and specializations — from federal publications to industry communities
- Manage brand reputation, monitor the effectiveness of news hooks and communications in the area
We expect you to
- Have at least three years of PR experience in IT companies; be able to showcase successful cases with a focus on Tech PR
- Understand technology and be able to find common ground with developers
- Write and edit proficiently
- Have a good understanding of the Russian media market, especially IT media, and new media; be aware of opinion leaders and follow the information flow
- Be able to adapt communications to different audiences and platforms, find news hooks where it seems there are none
- Be able to quickly immerse yourself in new topics
- Be able to negotiate, find common ground with different people, have skills in conducting negotiations and presentations
- Be ready to work in a team, but at the same time be capable of leading complex projects independently
It will be a plus if you
- Have organized events and coordinated their PR support
- Are familiar with the IT market and the country's business conferences, know about podcasts and other popular IT promotion formats
We invite a specialist who can work in a hybrid mode and visit the office in Moscow or Saint Petersburg.
