We promote the VKontakte technology brand within the IT community — millions of people use our services every day. We create news leads, prepare content for industry platforms, support our specialists' presentations at conferences, and build communications with partners, experts, and the media.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the formation of the technical PR strategy and the implementation of the tactical plan
- Find and create news leads for promoting the company's technologies: both for a broad audience and for the IT community
- Work with expert content — write, edit, and publish articles about VK technologies
- Initiate research, interviews, prepare press releases (together with the editorial team), devise and prepare special projects
- Organize the participation of technical department heads in conferences and podcasts
- Build effective long-term relationships with partners, experts, and journalists of various levels and specializations — from federal publications to industry communities
- Manage the brand's reputation, monitor the effectiveness of news leads and communications in this area
We expect you to have
- At least 3 years of PR experience in IT companies; able to demonstrate successful cases with a focus on Tech PR
- Understand technologies and know how to find common ground with developers
- Write and edit proficiently
- Have a good understanding of the Russian media market, particularly IT media, and new media; be familiar with opinion leaders and follow the information flow
- Be able to adapt communications to different audiences and platforms, find news leads where it seems there are none
- Be able to quickly grasp new topics
- Be able to negotiate, find common ground with different people, possess negotiation and presentation skills
- Be ready to work in a team, yet be capable of leading complex projects independently
It would be a plus if you have
- Organized events and coordinated their PR support
- Familiarity with the IT market and business conferences in the country; be knowledgeable about podcasts and other popular promotion formats in IT
