Vacancy: Head of Finance Department
Good day! I am looking for a Head of Finance Department for a group of trading companies. The group imports products and supplies them to federal retail chains, and includes legal entities in Russia, China, and Hong Kong.
This is a key role: you will be responsible for building the financial function of the entire group and making finances transparent for owners and investors.
Responsibilities:
- Develop budgeting: P&L budget, Cash Flow budget, forecast balance sheet, plan-vs-actual analysis and variance explanation with departments.
- Set up management reporting for the group: period closing, P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, financial results for each order.
- Prepare reporting for owners and investors, including in English.
- Manage treasury: payment calendar, payment registers, cash gap forecast.
- Manage working capital with a long deal cycle: supplier prepayment, goods in transit, payment deferral from retail chains.
- Organize international settlements through group companies in China and Hong Kong, multi-currency accounting, and control of exchange rate differences.
- Develop regulations, an authority matrix, a payment approval system, and requirements for the accounting system. Control payroll.
- Lead treasury, cash, management accounting, and analytics. Functionally lead financial managers of departments.
What is important:
- Higher education in finance or economics.
- At least 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in the position of CFO or Head of Finance Department in import, wholesale, or distribution.
- Experience in setting up budgeting and management accounting from scratch.
- Experience in managing liquidity with a long deal cycle, international settlements, and multi-currency accounting.
- Experience managing a finance team.
- Excel and Google Sheets at the level of financial modeling.
- Working level English.
Will be a plus:
- Experience in importing fruits and vegetables or in FMCG.
- Working with federal retail chains: claims, retro bonuses, marketing budgets.
- Knowledge of the VAT refund procedure in the PRC and withholding tax on cross-border payments.
- Chinese language.
