Commercial Director in International Logistics ILC
The Commercial Director in International Logistics ILC is a top manager responsible for the company's commercial strategy, revenue growth, and customer base development in international markets.
Role and Areas of Responsibility:
- Defines and implements ILC's commercial strategy in key markets (import, export, multimodal transportation, warehouse logistics, delivery within Russia and worldwide).
- Responsible for revenue and margin growth: developing existing clients, attracting new ones, participating in strategic tenders and major deals.
- Forms and develops the sales team and commercial department, sets work standards, and establishes KPI and motivation systems.
- Personally builds relationships with key clients and partners, participates in negotiations for major contracts and complex logistics cases.
Key Tasks:
- Management of the international logistics services portfolio: sea and air freight, FCL/LCL, consolidation, terminal services, last-mile delivery.
- Participation in the development of pricing policy: tariffs, discounts, commercial terms, margin analysis by products and routes.
- Collaboration with the operational department on turnkey client solutions (delivery time, cost, service quality) to ensure commercial promises align with ILC's network capabilities.
- Market monitoring: rates, changes in international corridors, restrictions, competitors; searching for new niches and directions (countries, cargo types, client industries).
Expected Profile:
- Deep understanding of international logistics: sea and air freight, container lines, customs aspects, Incoterms, specifics of shipments to/from Russia.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build long-term partnerships with corporate clients and agents abroad.
- Experience in building and scaling commercial teams, implementing KPIs, sales funnels, CRM systems, and customer service standards.
- Strategic thinking combined with a willingness to personally engage in key deals and complex client situations.
- At least 6 years of experience in international logistics as a Commercial Director.
- A relevant network is mandatory.
