Senior Backend Developer for the Quality Team
About the team:
We are the Quality cluster within Avito's technical platform. Our team develops internal products that reduce production failures and minimize developer routine. We are responsible for the entire development cycle after code is written — from test generation to release monitoring and bug fixing.
Your tasks will include:
- building a unified platform for AI agent operations within the cluster — from concept to implementation;
- developing observability and quality assessment tools, and conducting research to understand which approaches, frameworks, and technologies work in real-world scenarios;
- implementing architectural solutions for key GenAI initiatives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
We expect you to have:
- experience developing with Python/Go;
- a deep understanding of LLM limitations: context windows, hallucinations, latency, and cost — and the ability to design solutions considering these factors;
- experience building RAG pipelines on real-time data;
- expertise in architectural choices: when to use a harness and when to use a framework (Claude Code, Dify, n8n, etc.), and how to correctly select a model for a task;
- the ability to manage token economics: optimizing model routing, caching prompts, evaluating the ROI of on-prem solutions;
- experience benchmarking AI agents using precision/recall, LLM-as-judge, and A/B tests on production data;
- independently lead quarterly projects end-to-end — from goal setting to delivery.
