Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and evolve microservices using Python in a distributed environment.
• Elaborate technical specifications with system analysts: clarify requirements, propose improvements to specifications, influence the final decision.
• Own features throughout their entire lifecycle – from design and implementation to deployment and initial production monitoring: configure metrics in Grafana, monitor performance under load.
• Actively participate in architecture design and design reviews, propose and defend solutions.
• Identify bottlenecks and potential risks at early stages and discuss them with the team.
• 3rd line support: analyze incidents down to the root cause using traces/logs/metrics and close error classes.
• Code documentation.

Candidate Profile:

• Relevant higher education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of development experience.
• Strong Python, proficient in async (asyncio): understand when it is beneficial and when it is detrimental.
• Experience designing services in a distributed system: informed choices between synchronous (gRPC) and asynchronous (Kafka/RabbitMQ) interactions, idempotency, data consistency between services.
• Competent design of service contracts: versioning, backward compatibility.
• Testability is built into the design, not an afterthought.
• Independence and responsibility for results throughout the task lifecycle.
