In this position, you will lead the full cycle of international logistics and customs clearance of our products. Your main goal is to ensure the uninterrupted import of raw materials and export of finished goods, and to optimize logistics costs through team management, tenders, and effective interaction with government authorities.
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Manage the process of international transportation and customs clearance to ensure timely release of goods into free circulation.
- Build effective working relationships with customs authorities (Federal Customs Service, Central Customs Directorate, Baltic, Pulkovo, and others), Rosselkhoznadzor, Rospotrebnadzor, and FSTEC.
- Develop and implement the most effective schemes for importing finished products in cooperation with brokers, forwarders, and transport companies.
- Conduct tenders among contractors, analyze their results, and reduce the cost of transportation and clearance services without loss of quality.
- Monitor changes in foreign economic activity legislation and ensure correct classification of goods according to the Harmonized System of Foreign Economic Activity (HS FEA/TN VED) for all company divisions.
- Lead the department team: set tasks, track employee KPIs, conduct skills assessments, and implement individual development plans.
- Participate in the budgeting process. Calculate the budget for the international logistics department, forecast monthly container arrivals and costs, and report on financial results for the month and year.
Requirements
THIS VACANCY IS FOR YOU IF:
- You have a higher education degree (in logistics or economics will be an advantage).
- You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- You are confident in Russian Federation legislative acts regulating foreign economic activity and have practical experience in customs clearance.
- Your English proficiency level is Upper-Intermediate or higher.
- You possess strong leadership qualities, can make informed decisions quickly, and negotiate with difficult counterparties.
- You are capable of analyzing large volumes of data, understand the principles of tax control, and maintain high productivity in stressful situations.
