In Kaspersky Lab, we are looking for a Head of Technology Office.
Kaspersky DDoS Protection (KDP) is a separate division of Kaspersky Lab, a global leader in cybersecurity. We are building a unified, high-load platform for protecting online assets. At its core is DDoS attack protection (L3/L4), which we are actively strengthening with application-level solutions (L7): WAF, bot protection, and developing our CDN capabilities.
The company is seeking a highly professional individual for the CTO team to help take the product to the next level. We need a leader with a deep understanding of high-load systems and experience in building scalable architecture: someone who can set the strategic direction for platform development, establish continuous delivery processes, and ensure the reliability of solutions under extreme loads.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading three key technical departments (technical/customer support, infrastructure operation and development, development)
- Interacting with other company departments, primarily with the Product Department, Marketing, and Sales
- Collaborating with Kaspersky Lab departments to complete related/common tasks
- Interacting with contractors and suppliers
- Participating in the planning and execution of CapEx and OpEx budgets, as well as the salary budget for technical departments
- Serving as a single point of contact for commercial departments regarding technical development
- Performing long-term planning
- Performing operational planning
- Adopting the roadmap from the Product Department for implementation. Managing development. Releasing products.
- Planning and implementing the product infrastructure development.
- Managing the infrastructure
- Providing technical customer support. Managing attack mitigation, responding to incidents
What you need for this:
- At least 5 years of experience in similar positions
- Higher technical education in IT
- High level of technical literacy
- Thorough understanding of the details of your (current) product
- Willingness to learn and understand new things
- Excellent communication skills, ability to explain complex things in simple terms
- Ability to manage people, lead, and delegate
- Stress resistance, multitasking ability
- Focus on commercial indicators
- Customer orientation (external and internal customer)
- Conversational English – desirable
