Micromobility is no longer a startup market but a complex operational business. Unit economics here depends not on the app but on how the fleet is managed: from maintenance, logistics, warehouse, to equipment availability in the city.

Yandex Scooters are already present in 10 countries with a total fleet of over 100 thousand devices, and new geographies are planned for launch. We have built a platform that manages the entire lifecycle of a scooter — from the warehouse to the street — and unites processes from several Yandex services.

We are looking for a Product Manager. You will continue to develop operational tools and scooter telematics, influencing key operational metrics on an international scale.

What tasks await you

Operational Processes You will develop fleet management tools and improve operational processes. You will work with customer problems (own operations + partners), prioritize initiatives that align with team goals, launch changes, and evaluate them using metrics. It is important to influence key performance indicators: scooter availability and their utilization.

Telematics and IoT You will need to develop the scooter's telemetry and IoT system: work on connection stability and SIM infrastructure, launch new use cases for data in operations, analyze operational data and identify growth points, as well as find solutions within a complex IT infrastructure.

Hardware You will participate in the development of new scooter models and their components: formulate product requirements for hardware, work with the engineering team and contractors in China, and consider the impact of hardware solutions on telematics and operations.

We expect that you

• Have worked as a product manager for three or more years
• Have experience with operational products, internal tools, or B2B services
• Can work with analytics: formulate hypotheses, define metrics, analyze data, and make decisions based on them
• Understand how APIs, service architecture, mobile and web products are technically structured, and can work with development and integrations
• Can clearly and systematically communicate product solutions
• Have worked in fields with complex operational structures (marketplaces/logistics)
• Have prepared presentations and defended initiatives to stakeholders
• Have the ability to take ownership of a direction and drive initiatives to completion
• Know English

Will be a plus

• Familiar with IoT or telematics
• Have experience with operational products
• Worked closely with operational teams and implemented changes 'in the field'
• Have worked with China
