Pechoro-Ilychsky Nature Reserve invites a Warden or a Warden Couple.
This is a job for those who dream of living and working in the wild. We need a person or a family couple to protect and maintain the territory of the nature reserve.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct reserve regime measures and monitor compliance with protected area regulations
- Patrol the water area of the reserve by motorboat, and the territory on foot and by snowmobile
- Monitor sections of taiga, forest roads, rivers, and remote natural territories
- Prevent illegal hunting, fishing, logging, and other violations
- Carry out fire prevention measures
- Create, restore, and maintain forest roads
- Maintain cordons, utility buildings, and other facilities in working order
- Collect primary scientific information, keep records of animals and birds, observe animal populations
Requirements:
- Single individual or a couple without children
- Strong health and good physical condition
- Absence of chronic diseases that hinder long-term work in the taiga
- Absence of bad habits
- Experience of living, working, or long-term travel in remote and wild places is desirable
- Willingness to give up urban comfort for a long time
- Interest in nature, an adventurous spirit, and a love for adventure
Conditions:
- Work and accommodation in the Pechoro-Ilychsky Nature Reserve in the Northern Urals
- Can come as a couple
- Wooden houses with stove heating
- There is a banya (sauna), toilet, electricity from a gasoline generator
- There is satellite and radio communication
- Official employment according to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation
- Uniform, transport for patrols, weapons, and all necessary equipment are provided
- Annual paid leave - 56 calendar days
- Every two years - preferential paid leave
- Business trips for training and experience exchange to other specially protected natural areas of the Russian Federation
