Chief Risk Officer

Location: Riga (onsite).

▪️Role overview: To take companys Risk function. The task is to build a risk strategy, a control system, and processes from scratch.

▪️Responsibilities Develop the company’s risk management strategy, policies, control systems, and risk appetite; Lead a 7-person team covering Traffic, Chargebacks, and Compliance areas -mentoring staff, maintaining focus, and making final decisions; Oversee daily risk operations, including transaction monitoring, chargeback management, and the identification of emerging risk patterns;Identify and mitigate operational, transactional, merchant, compliance, and payment-related risks; Make complex, high-stakes risk decisions and take full accountability for them; Collaborate with internal teams and external payment partners; Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and partner expectations; Provide senior management with analytics, recommendations, and strategic expertise.
