Senior Data Scientist - Renewable Energy Trading

Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with extensive experience in predictive modeling, stochastic optimization, and applied machine learning in commercial environments. In this role, you will own the design and performance of forecasting and trading models that directly shape our strategies across European power markets.

You will work at the intersection of energy, AI, and trading, where precision and speed are critical. This is a high-impact position, suited for someone who thrives on translating complex datasets into actionable insights that drive multimillion-euro trading decisions.

Your Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy advanced ML models for forecasting electricity supply, demand, and prices across European markets.
• Enhance and scale predictive pipelines to ensure robustness and performance under real-time trading conditions.
• Apply stochastic optimization and decision-making under uncertainty to design strategies for short-term and intraday trading.
• Define and monitor key model KPIs tied directly to trading results and business outcomes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable, production-grade solutions in a cloud-native environment.
• Explore and evaluate new methodologies, algorithms, and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
• Contribute to the strategic roadmap of our company's data-driven trading solutions.

Your Profile

• 10+ years of proven experience in predictive modeling and applied ML in commercial settings, ideally with 5+ years in energy, finance, or trading domains.
