The RBC editorial team is looking for a meticulous, organized, and proactive editor to support the shift editor-in-chief in the daily operations of the rbc.ru website.
Responsibilities:
- Selecting priority topics, assigning tasks to the news team, proofreading news;
- Independently writing and publishing news articles, including in breaking news mode;
- Monitoring foreign and Russian media and tracking key news events, trends, and the daily information agenda;
- Identifying new angles for major daily news stories from open sources: media reports, documents, media materials, open data;
- Editing long texts and messages for the website and Telegram, adapting materials for various presentation formats (video, photo, reference materials);
- Ensuring a smooth content production process, supporting the shift editor-in-chief in all work areas.
What we expect from you:
- At least 3 years of experience in newsrooms or agencies;
- Relevant experience in management positions (issuing editor, chief editor, senior editor on night shifts) is mandatory;
- Ability to quickly navigate the news flow and work with large volumes of information;
- Knowledge of news work principles;
- Skills in using AI with texts and videos;
- English language proficiency: Upper-Intermediate, Advanced;
- Quick learning ability, stress resistance, ability to work in multitasking mode.
